    Hi Michael,
    Thank you for this interesting question. In my experience it’s a possible approach to turn a problem into an opportunity for engaging your audience. Start with a short introduction to the context – and if there are any questions from the less-well-informed part of the audience, just turn to the “pros” among your audience and ask them to answer the question at the level of detail they consider to be necessary to understand the rest. Make sure the answers are kept short (you can e.g. use a timer on the screen to stick to 1 minute). By doing this, you keep the “pros” interested and engaged and you can still cover questions about the context.

    Hi Michael, what about splitting the session and offering a pre-briefing to the part of your audience that lacks context?
